What’s Happening at LKMA

Steve breaks two bricks at iFest!

On May 19, LKMA went to iFest – the annual Rancho Cordova International Festival. The Demo Team performed just before the fire dancers and the M.C. prompted a standing ovation from the audience. We had a lot of fun and passed out a ton of flyers!

On June 2, there was a parents’ group meeting at the North school. We discussed summer events including the upcoming Camping Trip from July 13-15. There’s still room for a few more families! Included in the fee: campsite fees, all meals, group activities, and a safety whistle. Please see one of the Master’s or secretaries for more information and the sign up sheets. Sign up and payment due by June 30!

The next parent’s group meeting will be on July 7th and will include a BBQ and pool event! All students over 18 and parents are invited. We will post more information as it becomes available.

June 2nd also saw a movie night at the North school.

The week of June 25-29 will be Sparring Week at the North school.

On June 30th, there’s North/South school crosstraining from 12:30-2:30 p.m. There is a $5 fee for sparring and lunch will be provided. We will honor fathers for Father’s Day at that time.

We’d like to know what kind of things you’d like to see in this space, so please contact us and let us know!

About Lee's Korean Martial Arts

Learning martial arts, as with anything else, takes time. It will take at least a few years to eventually attain the rank of black belt. Nothing worthwhile can be obtained quickly or easily. Remember, the journey to back belt is not a race. It will take perseverance and determination to make it to the rank of Black belt. As the famous punch line goes, "the way to Carnegie Hall is ... practice, practice, practice!"
